This is the research experience of a high school teacher as he struggles with proper authentic assessment in his classroom. These rambling thoughts are focused on one particular group of students in one particular combined course. The course is a Grade 10 pilot project initiated to offer students in the Art Centred Learning program the chance to take English Language Arts and Social Studies together, combining them into a Humanities course.
